Field & Nursery Support Officer

Programmed is seeking a hands‑on individual to provide field and nursery support to their Client for the Strawberry Breeding Program, which develops improved strawberry varieties for Australian growers and consumers.

Location: Wandin

Key Duties and Accountabilities

• Propagation and maintenance of strawberry plants in shade houses and on tables
• Preparation, planting, maintenance, and harvesting of strawberry breeding trials at the Wandin
• Collection of plant and fruit data as required

Key Capabilities

To determine your suitability for the role, you will be assessed on the following:

• Physical ability to work in hot, cold, and challenging outdoor field conditions
• Ability to listen attentively and accurately follow instructions
• Capacity to work well independently
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment

Working Hours

• Start times vary between 7:00am and 8:00am
• 5 days per week
